The Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC) is mandated to conduct research in all fields of the social and natural sciences, providing substantive contributions to the Royal Government of Cambodia. RAC is also responsible for offering MA and PhD training programs to support the nation’s rapid development through a knowledge-based approach. In addition, RAC is committed to fostering a long-term vision for the country by replacing habitual practices with research-driven principles—a philosophy embodied in my proverb: “The Angkorian Bridge endures, generation after generation.” I believe that holding a position of honor is not merely decorative; it is a profound responsibility. It requires unwavering determination to lead this institution toward significant scientific progress. My foremost commitment is to transform RAC into not only a “Center of Excellent Inputs” for national development but also a premier institution that provides premier opportunities for both national and international experts. I affirm that RAC has always welcomed intellectuals who share its vision for advancing the country.
